# TownSignal

TownSignal is built first for small land-use and zoning firms and permitting or engineering consultants working across multiple South Shore towns. Developers are a secondary use case.

Boards read today: Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals. Conservation Commission is the
next board added. Select Board, Historic Districts and Town Meeting warrants are not covered
and are not claimed as covered.

If an alert is wrong or a quote is misattributed, the archive entry is corrected, the change
is stated, and every subscriber who received it is emailed. If a document cannot be quoted, no
alert is sent about it.

## Standing rules (constraints on every alert)

1. We quote the record; we do not interpret it. Every alert gates on a verbatim
   excerpt. If it cannot be quoted, it is not sent. Commentary is one line, labeled,
   and kept beneath the source.
2. We do not claim coverage we do not have. Named towns, named boards, a timestamp on
   the last check.
3. We report when nothing happened. A quiet week gets a quiet email.
4. We do not publish mockups. Every example on the site is a real alert from a real
   public document, with the link attached.

Founding-member checkout is live — $149/mo via Stripe; founder-assisted onboarding reviews towns and watch terms after payment.
Members sign in at /login with an email magic link (no password) and review saved prefs at /account.
Duxbury and Hanover are temporarily unavailable because required municipal sources are blocked; they are not sold as active coverage. Live source incidents stay on /status.
